Do Artists and Promoters Regularly Scalp Their Tickets?

I just posted an update to my “Methinks He Doth Protest Too Much” article on our TixxTech blog. StubHub‘s Glenn Lehrman seems to be upping the ante in his accusations that promoters and artists are scalping their own tickets…this time admitting that some of them are StubHub’s clients. I am still skeptical about the magnitude he claims, believe it is time he proved it, and question the wisdom of revealing that you are abetting what some Attorneys General may consider a crime. Even if it isn’t illegal, how many of StubHub’s clients really want people asking them if they are sneaking large quantities of tickets into the broker market?

It’s a bit of a shame. If you want to resell a ticket, I highly recommend StubHub. I am aggravated by some of Lehrman’s recent accusations, but that doesn’t change the fact that, within their industry, StubHub is one of the best, if not the best…and that they are a trustworthy partner.

Either way, please read the post.
